Candleholder

This wrought iron bracket candleholder dates from the 18th century.

The wall-mounted candleholder has a movable arm consisting of five sections with a candle socket riveted to a drip tray at the end. The arm, which allows the field of light to be moved in and out from the wall, can be folded neatly away when not in use.
