This oak chair is a fairly plain version of the fashionable style of the 1690s and, although damaged, is characteristic of a Scottish-made chair of its type. It was said to have come from Lochleven Castle in Fife.

Carved wooden chair, said to have come from Linlithgow Palace, 1690 - 1710
