Colour woodblock print, ukiyo-e

Triptych of a scene at the end of "Go-ju-san Tsugi" a festival celebrating the twin shrines of the Soga brothers The print is by Kunisada signed Toyokuni and published by Dai Tora. The censors mark is aratame and the print is dated monkey 3 =1860.

This print shows three actors as Keigo, Temaye and Sewan all with flowered festival hats. The characters in the latterns amongst the flowers above read Soga Ryosha Go- Matsuri. Honourable festival of the two Soga shrines.
