This is the obverse of a copper halfpenny trade token of John Ferrier of Perth. Dated 1797, the token was manufactured by Kempson and designed by James Wright Junior. The die-sinker was Willets.

The obverse depicts a man dragging a fishing net to the shore, with a boat lying on the beach in the background.

Ferrier was a hosier and had five hundredweight of halfpenny tokens struck.
