Coffee pot

This earthenware coffee pot was made at John Marshall's Pottery at Bo'ness in West Lothian between 1866 and 1899.

The coffee pot is transfer-printed in brown with the pattern `Bosphorus`.

The 'Bosphorus' pattern was one of the Bo'ness pottery's most popular and enduring designs. It was produced originally by the previous owner, James Jamieson, and was continued by Marshall when he took over the pottery.
