This small pottery cup was found at Eilean Domhnuill at Loch Olabhat, on North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. It dates from between 3400 and 2900 BC and was probably a simple drinking cup.

The simple hemispherical cup was made by pinching up a single piece of clay. Below the rim, it is decorated with an irregular line of jabs, which fail to meet up.

The Neolithic occupation site in Loch Olabhat produced over 22,000 fragments of pottery. This is the only complete vessel.
