Medal (reverse) commemorating the Glasgow International Exhibition

This is the reverse of a gold medal commemorating the 1888 Glasgow International Exhibition. The medal was presented to R.C. Grant of the committee.

The reverse is inscribed 'R.C. GRANT/COMMITTEE'.

Edinburgh hosted international exhibitions in 1886 and 1907, and Glasgow in 1888 and 1901. These were large events where Scottish produce, from railway engineering to pottery, vied with international exhibits.
