Bowl, made at Kirkcaldy, Fife
Add to album

This earthenware bowl was made around 1875 at David Methven & Sons' pottery at Kirkcaldy in Fife.

The bowl is on a foot and is printed with a pattern of hunting scenes and trophies called 'German Stag Hunt'.

The town of Kirkcaldy on the north shore of the Firth of Forth was one of the major centres of Scottish pottery production. In the second half of the 19th century it had four separate factories.
