Telescope
This brass telescope dates from around 1825. It was retailed by David Heron, a scientific instrument maker based in Greenock.
The hand-held refracting telescope has six draws and is engraved on the first draw tube 'D.Heron /Greenock'.
David Heron began making and retailing nautical instruments in Greenock around 1815. He was presumably related to members of the watch and chronometer making firm of the same name.
