This brass lantern and box were made in Glasgow in the early 19th century. They are made of tinned iron.

The lantern has is decorated with stamped flowers and beading and has glass windows on three sides. The base and the top are hinged. The lid of the rectangular box is stamped with a floral motif repeating that on the lantern.
