Lantern

This tin lantern from Aberdeenshire dates from the early 19th century.

The cylindrical lantern has a conical top and hinged door. Eight reflectors of thick glass, with engraved designs of stars and scallops, project from the sides, arranged in pairs. The top is decorated with a pierced design of circles.
