Fan

Folding fan, brise, of carved mother of pearl, and threaded with cream silk ribbon.

Carved with an M surrounded by dragons and other Chinese scenes. At the top of each stick is a sage.

This is an objet de command, a piece commissioned in China for Europe. It is a fan for good luck and good omen.
