Fan

Folding fan with a single fine skin leaf, the sticks and guards of finely carved and pierced ivory inlaid with mother of pearl and silver pique.

Painted with a rural scene of men and women playing music and singing. The centre of the sticks is carved with a scene of Daphne and Apollo. When closed there is a shell carving across the sticks by the rivet.
