Fan

Folding fan with double leaf of chicken skin, sticks and guards of carved, pierced and painted ivory and mother of pearl.

In the centre a pen and ink drawing of Venus in a chariot with Mercury beside. To either side is painted a landscape, the whole framed by pen and ink scrolls and flowers.

Remounted with a new backing leaf in the 19th century.
