Fan

Folding fan with double paper leaf, carved and pierced ivory sticks and guards inlaid with silver.

Painted with five vignettes, three of harbour scenes and two of gods and goddesses, with bands of chinoiserie and geometric patterns in gold.

The head is bulbous forming a good grip for holding the fan between second and third fingers.
