Souvenir handkerchief from the Glasgow International Exhibition

This cotton handkerchief is a souvenir of the Glasgow International Exhibition of 1901.

The handkerchief is printed with a view of the exhibition and portraits of people connected with Glasgow.

Edinburgh hosted international exhibitions in 1886 and 1907, and Glasgow in 1888 and 1901. These were large events where Scottish produce, from railway engineering to pottery, vied with international exhibits.
