Punch bowl, associated with Battle of Culloden

This porcelain punch bowl was made around 1746 to mark the victory of Hanoverian forces over the Jacobite army at the Battle of Culloden. It was made in China for export to Europe.

The punch bowl is painted in enamels with a design of portraits of Prince William, Duke of Cumberland and panels depicting the battle.
