Bookbinding for 'Biblia Innocentium'

This bookbinding of embossed morocco leather was produced for 'Biblia Innocentium', a volume of children's Bible stories. The cover was made by Phoebe Traquair in 1900.

The binding illustrates God creating the World in six days.

Phoebe Anna Traquair (1852-1936) was one of several remarkable women involved in the Arts and Crafts movement in Scotland at the beginning of the 20th century.
