These are the obverses of copper farthing trade tokens of tobacconists James Mitchell of the Canongate in Edinburgh, and George Randolph & Co. of King Street in Glasgow. The former dates from between around 1780 and 1830, the latter from 1799.

The obverse of the Randolph token (right) has a design featuring three vessels labelled 'BLACK RAP', 'SCOTS' AND 'BROWN RAP'. It is engraved 'FARTHING PAYABLE AT GEORGE RANDOLPH & CO.'
