This example dates from around 1750. The bowl has a crown over the letters 'JR' which are intertwined with the figure '8' - a reference to King James VIII of Scotland. The plain stem contains a 'tear'. The foot is engraved with the words 'To the Prosperity of the Family of Lochiell'.
