Mirror

This circular redware mirror was made by Peter Gardner's Dunmore Pottery in Falkirk district. Dating from around 1880, this style is particularly rare for Dunmore.

The orange-glazed border is moulded with classical figures representing the seasons.

Dunmore wares were retailed in the best shops in London as well as in Scottish stores such as the Royal Emporium, Castle Street, Edinburgh. Their distinctive designs were very popular.
