Chair

This oak chair appears on careful examination not to be 17th or early 18th century, as its form might indicate. The carved panel, depicting a crowned thistle, however, probably does date from this period.

Oak arm-chair with thistle and crown carved on the back: Scottish, 16th or 17th century
