Badge, of the Scottish Society of Fencers

This silver badge of the Scottish Society of Fencers dates from 1692.

The badge is in the shape of a 20-pointed star. Engraved in the centre is a man with a practice foil and sabre. The badge bears inscriptions reading 'Sir Will Steuart of Castlemilke An 1692' and 'Gladitorium Scoticorum Societatis Symbolum'.
