This earthenware jug marked the marriage of John and Margaret Greig in 1866. It was probably made at Clyde Pottery at Greenock in Renfrewshire.

The decoration on the jug is a bouquet of flowers tied with a ribbon. The jug is inscribed to John and Margaret Greig.
