Silver medal (reverse) of the Highland Society of Glasgow

This is the reverse of a silver medal of the Highland Society of Glasgow. The medal was awarded to weaver Donald Mackellar in 1809 as a badge of merit for his apprenticeship. It was made by Robert Gray of Glasgow.

The reserve is inscribed 'Given / to / DOND. MACKELLAR / Weaver / in testimony / of his good behaviour / & examplary conduct / during his Education /& Apprenticeship / 1809'.
