Medal (obverse) of the Falkirk Bowling Club, Stirlingshire

This is the obverse of a silver medal of the Falkirk Bowling Club in Stirlingshire. It was made by Peter Arthur in 1854 and was awarded annually between 1854 and 1863.

The obverse has the names of the winners of the medal.

The Scots created modern bowling by playing it on the best quality of turf rather than any patch of ground beside a public house or country house.
