Copper token (obverse) for the Royal Infirmary for Children, Glasgow

This is the obverse of a copper token for the Royal Infirmary for Children in Glasgow. The token dates from the 19th century.

The obverse bears the inscription 'Royal Infirmary of Children Established 26 April 1820'.

The infirmary was one of several sources of medical help for the poor in the 19th century that were funded by donations.
