Doorway from a house

This stone doorway is from the house of a prosperous town dweller at 225-229 High Street in Kirkcaldy. The doorway dates from 1672.

The pediment bears the date 1672. Above is a decorative thistle.

Wooden panelling from the first floor of the house was also recovered.
