Necklace, with seed pearls possibly of Scottish origin

This seed pearl and mother-of-pearl necklace was worn by Burella Elizabeth Campbell (1830-1905) of Ayrshire who married Dr Robert Davidson of the East India Company. The pearls are possibly of Scottish origin.

Burella Campbell was the donor's great aunt. Her husband, Dr Davidson, came from Culross Park in Fife.
