Bowl, made in Glasgow
Add to album

This earthenware bowl was made around 1820 at John Geddes's Verreville Pottery and Glass Works in Glasgow.

The bowl has a transfer-printed hunting scene in the centre, surrounded by a border of flowers.

John Geddes, originally the manager of the Verreville works, was the owner between 1806 and 1824. Verreville means 'glass town' and emphasises that the firm originally produced glass as well as pottery.
