Pot leg

This medieval bronze leg of a large pot was found near the remains of a Viking grave mound on Eigg in the Inner Hebrides. It dates much later than the burial, and has become mixed up with the grave goods when the mound was levelled.

The pot would have stood on the pointed end. It had cast ribs for added strength.
