Knife

This bone knife was found at Cnoc Cait at Vallay on North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. Its age is not known but it dates from between 300 BC and 800 AD. It may have been used as a skinning knife.

The flat knife has a long handle, straight back, and slightly blunt cutting edge.
