Stamp
This antler stamp was found at Bac Mhic Connain on North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. It was probably used to decorate leather sometime between 200 BC to 800 AD.
The stamp is conical in shape, and has an incised cross on the base.
Although the stamp could have been used for several purposes, it was most likely used on leather. A leatherworker's box of tools found at Evie in Orkney also contained an antler stamp with an incised rectangular pattern.
