This bronze spearhead is part of a hoard of metal weapons found at Atton at Glen Clova in Angus. All were prestigious weapons, probably buried as gifts to the gods, sometime between 950 and 750 BC.

The lower part of the spearhead is missing. It has half-moon perforations in the blade, suggesting it was intended more to proclaim social status than to function as a weapon.

Warriors had a major social role in their society and displayed their status through fancy weapons.
