This bronze spearhead is from the river Avon near Inverlochy in Banffshire. It dates from between 1500 and 1200 BC.

The spearhead has a midrib, large socket and thin leaf-shaped blade.

Warriors had a major social role in their society and displayed their status through fancy weapons.
