Spearhead

It is not known where this bronze spearhead was found. It is similar to others found in Scotland dating from between 1700 and 1500 BC.

The well-preserved spearhead has a midrib on the blade creating a groove to either side. The loops on the socket could have been used to tie the spearhead onto the shaft.

Spearheads dating to the Early Bronze Age are not common in Scotland, with most surviving examples from the south.
