Arrowhead

This flint arrowhead was found at Golspie Links or Little Ferry in Sutherland. It dates from between 3800 and 2500 BC. Arrowheads of this nature could have been used for hunting or for fighting. This one may even have been used for fishing.

The arrowhead is leaf shaped, a type common throughout Britain in the Neolithic period.
