Cheese dish

This agateware cheese dish was made in 1894 at Seaton Pottery in Aberdeen.

The dish is made of 'agate ware' - two different colours of clay mixed together to give a marbled effect; it is inscribed `Mrs Nevin, 1894'.

Seaton Pottery operated between 1868 and 1964 and left a wealth of distinctive wares.
