This teapot was made in the late 19th century at James Buist's Sinclairtown Pottery at Kirkcaldy in Fife. It is unmarked but was identified from sherds excavated from the site of the pottery, where fragments of 26 designs of teapot were found.

The brown glazed teapot has a branch-like handle and spout.

James Buist's Sinclairtown Pottery was started in 1869.
