Vase

This early 20th century agateware flower vase was made by Cochran and Fleming of the Britannia Pottery in Glasgow. Agateware is made by mixing different coloured body clays.

Agate ware flower vase by Cochrane and Fleming of Britannia Pottery

James Fleming became managing partner of the Britannia Pottery and from 1896 it was known as Cochran and Fleming. James's son, Arnold J Fleming, took over as sole partner in 1911 until he sold it to the Britannia Pottery Company Ltd in 1920.
