Plate, with 'Balmoral' pattern

This plate was made in 1897 by David Lockhart & Sons of Glasgow to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.

The plate has a portrait of Victoria in the centre and four views of Balmoral Castle.

Victoria and Albert built their 'Highland home' at Balmoral in Aberdeenshire between 1853 and 1855.
