Seal matrix, of the Chapter of Dunkeld

This is the brass seal matrix of the Chapter of Dunkeld. It dates from the 16th century.

The circular matrix depicts St Columba as a bishop. Seated on a throne, he is blessing with his right hand and holding a crosier in his left. At each side is the half-length figure of an angel waving a thurible, and the inscription 'S'Colvmba'.
