Banner, associated with Spaldings of Glenkilry, Perthshire

This silk banner dates from the late 17th century. It is said to have belonged to Andrew Spalding of Glenkilry in Perthshire and to have been carried in the Jacobite Risings of 1715 and 1745.

The banner bears the coat-of-arms of the Spaldings of Glenkilry with the motto 'NOBILI SERVITIUM', and the initials 'A.S.'
