Beggar's badge

This beggar's badge is from the parish of Campbeltown in Kintyre in Argyllshire. It is made of brass and dates from the early 19th century

The front of the oval badge in inscribed with 'The Poor of Campbeltoon No. 80'. There are four perforations, two at the top and two at the bottom.
