Creel, for carrying fish

This oval-shaped creel for carrying fish is made from unpeeled willow.

Oval, half round creel of unpeeled willow, with two openings for handgrips

For centuries it was the land which supplied the resources of everyday life for most people in Scotland. It provided the materials for homes, furnishings and belongings. In some remote areas the use of local materials continued well into the 20th century.
