Brooch

The silver brooch, with fine silver chain and safety pin, is set with blue-grey banded agates. The design was registered in November 1875.

Silver brooch set with banded agates, with a silver cross at the top and a fine silver chain and safety pin, registry mark for 14 November 1875

This style of this brooch was inspired by much earlier examples, such as the Hunterston brooch, an early Christian brooch found in 1830 in Ayrshire and originating from the West of Scotland or Ireland.
