Watch chain associated with Keir Hardie

This watch chain of white metal is said to be associated with Keir Hardie (1856-1915) and his family.

The chain consists of Indian coins linked by lengths of chain.

James Keir Hardie was a key founder of the labour movement. He was elected as the Independent Labour Member of Parliament for South West Ham in 1892 and later became chairman of the Independent Labour Party.
