Brass badge commemorating the Franchise Demonstration

This brass badge celebrated the 1884 Franchise Demonstration held in Glasgow. Under the Reform Act of 1884 the vote was extended to all male householders.

The badge bears the monogram 'GLA', and is inscribed 'Let Glasgow Flourish' and 'Franchise Demonstration 1884'.
