Silver wine taster

This silver wine taster was made by Edinburgh silversmith, Thomas Cleghorne and dates from between 1637 and 1639 or between 1646 and 1648.

The wine taster is decorated all over with repoussé foliage. One handle is engraved with the initials 'AC' the other with the initials 'MWG'.
