Powder horn

This powder horn is said to have belonged to Sir George MacKenzie of Tarbet. It dates from around 1660.

The horn is engraved on this side with a hunting scene and the monogram 'SNRK'.

Sir George MacKenzie of Tarbet lived abroad until the Restoration in 1660. He was created Earl of Cromartie in 1703.
